The outfielder contributed to the Astros securing the championship in 2017.
Canada's MLB team earned a spot in their initial World Series since the 1993 season by beating the Mariners in the final seventh game of the AL Championship Series.
Down 3-1, Springer hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning, propelling the sole Canadian team in MLB to a 4-3 series victory in the best-of-seven series. Next up are the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are the defending champions, in the anticipated World Series.
"I'm just so happy for our team, Toronto, our country," said Springer, an integral part of the Astros team that secured the 2017 championship. "What an unbelievable moment."
George Springer has now connected for 23 total October home runs, making him third in history behind Manny Ramirez (29) and Altuve (27).
"It's hard to imagine another person in the world that I'd prefer in that situation besides George Springer with his post-season brilliance," noted Blue Jays manager John Schneider.
The Mariners, despite leading the early in the series, remain the only MLB franchise that has never reached in a championship series.
Manager Dan Wilson said "there's no question that it's going to sting" following his team's loss at their home ballpark, but applauded their work this season.
"This is a unique group. Sadly that we had to come out on the unsuccessful side of this game," he remarked.
The Blue Jays claimed the World Series on their two prior appearances in the early 90s, and will host the Los Angeles in game one on the upcoming Friday.
